ADHD assessments
At our practice, we offer adult ADHD assessments to help you understand whether ADHD is affecting your daily life and to identify the best steps forward. The process involves several key steps to ensure an accurate and comprehensive evaluation.
First, we conduct a detailed interview where we discuss your personal history, current challenges, and specific behaviors related to attention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity. We also use standardized questionnaires that help us assess your symptoms in-depth, and in some cases, we may ask for input from family members or colleagues who know you well. To better understand your cognitive functioning, we may administer specific tests that measure attention, memory, and executive functioning.
Throughout the assessment, we take care to rule out other conditions that may be contributing to your symptoms, ensuring that we focus on the most accurate diagnosis. Once all the information is gathered, we provide a clear and detailed report that outlines our findings and, if appropriate, a diagnosis of ADHD.
If ADHD is diagnosed, we will work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan that may include therapy, a referral for medication, and/or executive functioning coaching. Our goal is to help you and your healthcare team better understand your strengths and challenges and to develop a treatment plan that includes support for ADHD as needed.
How Individual Therapy Works
ParityWell therapists combine their training and personalities to connect with individuals in a genuine and caring way. Our experience helps us suggest the best therapies for your mental health needs. We treat different disorders, personalities, and goals unique to the person. Some therapies have a set timeframe to reach a target, while others may continue until you achieve your goals. Techniques vary; some feel like guided conversations, and others are more structured with worksheets to complete between sessions.
