Message to Clients
Welcome to ParityWell!
We started this practice because traditional mental healthcare has left too many people out. Most treatment models weren’t designed with the full range of people’s identities, experiences, and cognitive needs in mind. These gaps have real consequences, contributing to preventable secondary challenges like trauma, eating disorders, and substance use.
At ParityWell, we believe you shouldn't have to choose between feeling understood and receiving science-backed treatment. Mental health research hasn’t always included the communities it serves, but the science can—and must—be thoughtfully adapted. Guided by implementation science, we modify gold-standard treatments like Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), making adjustments for cultural context, communication styles, sensory needs, and personal values—without losing what makes treatment work.
Alongside therapy, we provide comprehensive psychological evaluations and ADHD and autism assessments that offer meaningful insights while honoring the full context of each person we serve. Led by Dr. Dennise Garcia Sevilla, a neuropsychologist, and me, Dr. Lauren Jessell, we apply translational research methods to adapt best practices to fit each client’s cultural context, communication style, and individual needs.
If you’d like to learn more, we’d love to connect.
