Adult AuDHD Assessments in NYC (Virtual or In-Person)

At ParityWell, we specialize in comprehensive adult Autism and ADHD assessments—often referred to together as AuDHD— for individuals in New York City and across New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Our clients include high-achieving professionals, creatives, caregivers, and sometimes even healthcare providers themselves who were overlooked in childhood because their experiences didn’t fit stereotypical ideas of autism or ADHD at the time.

Autism and ADHD frequently coexist — a combination often referred to as AuDHD. Each condition can both mask and amplify the other, making recognition and diagnosis more complex. Our approach is designed to clarify your neurodevelopmental profile with respect and accuracy.

A Neuro-Affirming, Research-Based Process

Our AuDHD assessments go beyond simply assigning a label. We focus on helping you understand how your cognitive, attentional, and sensory systems work together, highlighting both the strengths you lean on and the challenges that may affect your daily life.

You’ll meet with a doctoral level specialist either virtually or at our Manhattan office near Columbus Circle. We offer both in-person and telehealth options for neuropsychological evaluations and assessments, depending on your preference.

Every AuDHD assessment includes:

  • A detailed clinical and developmental interview (virtual or in-person)

  • Standardized tools such as MIGDAS-2, DIVA-5, RAADS-R, and Brown EF/A Scales

  • Cognitive testing to evaluate overall cognitive functioning, including reasoning, problem-solving, and processing abilities Questionnaires assessing executive function, attention, masking, and sensory processing

  • Optional input from loved ones and prior evaluations (if available)

  • A personalized feedback session and comprehensive written report with recommendations and tailored referrals

This process uncovers the distinct ways autism and ADHD interact in your life — whether through focus patterns, emotional regulation, sensory sensitivities, social energy, or adaptive coping strategies.

Who May Benefit from AuDHD Assessments

Our assessment process is especially helpful for adults who:

  • Suspect they might be autistic, ADHD, or both, but have never been formally evaluated

  • Have been previously diagnosed with only one condition and now want to explore potential overlap

  • Experience burnout, exhaustion, or chronic difficulty focusing despite high intelligence or success

  • Receive varied mental health diagnoses and want clarity for more effective therapy

  • Identify as queer, trans, BIPOC, or gifted, and may have high-masking or non-stereotypical presentations

Because NYC’s high-stimulation, high-energy pace can make executive functioning and sensory challenges feel even bigger, having a clear understanding of your neurotype can make it easier to navigate daily life and use your strengths without pushing so hard.

What You’ll Gain

Your AuDHD assessment will include a detailed 25+ page report, along with an additional follow-up meeting to review:

  • Validation and direction after years of potential misdiagnosis or self-doubt

Our goal is to empower you with self-knowledge and evidence-based recommendations that create real, sustainable change. We provide insight in the moment and tools you can genuinely use moving forward.
